The SZ-R EVO is the new open face helmet from Arai, for professional riders, long distance touring and urban commuters. The combination of protection, light weight, comfort and open full-length visibility make the SZ a unique and distinctive proposition.

Arai's Priority for Protection is applied to the SZ-R, with a new advanced PN-SNC² outer shell using the latest EVO design, the revolutionary VAS ( Variable Axis System ) gelcoat system, the core design philosophy of producing rounder, smoother and stronger outer shells to improve "Glancing Off" performance.

Featuring a revised gelcoat and PRO Shade system mounting option, it features RX-7V diffuser technology and an upgraded interior that improves fit and comfort. The new SZ-R EVO model is also ready with special recesses in the inner pads for adding speakers and/or goggle use. The premium open face helmet with ECE 22-06 certification.

FEATURES

SHELL

PB-SNC2 (Composite structural net with peripheral strap)
Handmade: it can take up to five years for our experts to earn the right to create an Arai shell. Each shell can take up to 27 steps and it takes approximately 18 man-hours to build an Arai helmet.

SAFETY

Glancing Off: To minimize impact energy entering the helmet, it is vital that the helmet can glide off a surface. Round and smooth shells help increase the helmet's ability to protect the rider during an impact.
Double-D buckling system that provides security as well as quick.

INTERNAL

Multi-density EPS inner shell.
5mm ''Peel Away'' Ear cups/Cheek pads and temple cushion : Giving even more opportunity for the perfect fit and comfort, the cheek pads feature a 5mm layer that is removable for additional space if needed.
Antimicrobial lining material.
Replaceable cheek pads. All parts (replaceable or not) can be hand washed with lukewarm water and mild soap.
Replaceable interior: The complete interior can be easily removed.
Replaceable chin strap covers.
Removable goggle slot.
Water-resistant multi-layered ear cups with water-repellent earplugs.
Compartments for speakers: Speaker pockets, offer space for speaker placement without compromising comfort or fit. (Speaker not included).

AIR

Central upper ventilation - introduction.
Diffuser system: 20 mm longer and straightened for improved aerodynamics.
Eyebrow vents extended to the temple area.
Neck ventilation.
Side outlets: Produce low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction.

AERODYNAMICS

Air Wing® adjustable: Improves helmet stability at high speeds or during hard braking and reduces noise.

VISOR

Variable axis system (VAS-V): with VAS, the position of the visor is lowered, yielding an average of 24 mm extra in both temple regions.
PRO Shade System: the Pro Shade System is a smart folding sunshade, combined with the familiar, wide-view Max Vision visor with optional Pinlock inlay lens.
Pinlock included: effectively prevents fogging and blurring of the visor.
